" Over-priced and crass designs! Total disappointment!! "

My friend was super excited to meet Ravish Kapoor, the wedding card specialist. After all, he was the one who had designed Shilpa’s Shetty's wedding card. Without sounding too mean, I am not too fond of Ms Shetty's personal style. So I had an inkling that Mr. Kapoor would be someone with a kind of similar sensibility. And I was so right!

I'll come to his designs later. Let's talk about his 'studio'! It is nothing but his garage at his GK I house. He better find some other space. It was so not cool! Let me now talk about the man himself. When he walked in, all we could see were the brand names walking towards us. He was like a live shopping mall! Ferrari t-shirt, LV belt, Georgio Armani jeans, Tod's shoes... if not a mall, then what else!! And then followed his full-of-himself monologue! Ok, you have a roster of celebrity clients but how can you be so full of yourself! My character review of Mr. Kapoor is of someone who is proud and snobbish.

Finally, a word about his designs. Innovative and elegant is how he likes to describe his work. As clients, we found his work over-the-top and over-priced. 8000 was his starting price (!!). Almost all the designs he showed were screaming for attention, just like the man himself. To sum up the whole experience, if you have truckloads of money along with a very crass style, then go for Ravish Kapoor. Or else, just find someone with better style with options at affordable rates!

The invites we ordered came out beautifully. They were delivered exactly one week after we ordered them and were home delivered. The price was great, well within our budget.
