Strangely, this was my first visit to The Lodhi. I use the word strangely because I stay relatively close to the property and cross it often (and still I hadn't paid a visit before). This visit too was an unintentional one. My friend's friend was travelling from Mumbai for work and was staying at The Lodhi. She had to go meet him, I was simply a tag-along.
As we drove in, I was left amazed by the architecture. I felt it was different from the other 5-stars that I have been to. As our friend was staying there, we checked-in as his guests and were led upstairs to his room. Oh my god, I did not expect a private pool with his room. It was not even a suite, yet it had a private plunge pool. I was left speechless (honest confession!). I found out later that all rooms at The Lodhi have private pools. Uber-luxurious, isn't it?
I'm sure it would cost a bomb to stay here or book their banquet. But rooms with pools... now that deal is something you won't find everywhere in Delhi. So, that's a thumbs up from my side, no matter the price.
