I hate shopping! But when your elder sister is getting married, you have no choice but to be tagged along. In the last 4 months or so, I must have visited shops and markets that I never knew existed. Last month, we were in Karol Bagh for saree shopping. Meena Bazaar was one of the top names that we were looking forward to buy most of our stuff from.
As we entered, two of the salesmen almost started fighting out amongst themselves as to who would be showing us around. After some struggle, we finally reached the first floor wherein we specifically told them our budget and the kind of sarees we were looking for. The kind of clothes they brought out, we were shocked! Definitely not what we had in mind at all. The designs of the sarees were decades old. Even my aunt (who is in her fifties) was quick to point that out. The colours too were the same old. Nothing to be excited about, and especially not young and bridal at all! In fact, in two of the sarees, some of the embellishments were coming out. Such a disappointment! Did not expect this from a brand like Meena Bazaar!
