The ‘ooh la la’ girl Vidya Balan tied the knot with long-time beau and UTV head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur on December 14, 2012. The festivities included both South Indian and Punjabi rituals, keeping in mind their cultures.
The lovebirds started dating during the making of ‘No One Killed Jessica’ in 2010 and they have been going steady ever since. The wedding festivities kicked off with a private sangeet ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. While Vidya chose a Kanjeevaram saree, Siddharth looked dapper in a white kurta pajama. This was followed by an equally private mehendi ceremony wherein Vidya’s friends applied mehendi on her hands. The bride-to-be chose a mustard yellow Sabyasachi saree draped in Bengali style complete with floral ornaments. Rekha was the only Bollywood personality present at the ceremony. It was an early morning wedding at Green Mile bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. The bride changed sarees thrice, designed by Sabyasachi.
The team of Bigindianwedding.com wishes the couple a blissful life ahead!
